Smaart Fundamentals Live Online
This is a Level 1 Lab Series, hosted by Rational Acoustics and taught by Jamie Anderson, Chris Tsanjoures and Michael Lawrence.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Based around the original Smaart Operator: Fundamentals class, this series of online lab sessions offers a unique alternate approach to covering the Fundamentals course material.

Over the course of a week, students will attend 3 separate 2-hour online sessions with live instruction, as well as review the Smaart Operator Fundamentals Online (SOFO) webinar series and the Smaart v8 User Guide. The online sessions will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2-4PM EST. Each session will include live instruction covering specific content from the SOFO videos and the User Guide, and provide supplemental demonstrations, in-depth discussions and the ability for students to ask questions.

Included with the course is a coupon for 1 free attempt at the Smaart Operator Level 1 Certification Exam. Discounts on Smaart software are also available to class attendees.

ABOUT SMAART FUNDAMENTALS LIVE ONLINE SESSIONS

Smaart Fundamentals Live Online sessions are in-depth presentations intended to augment, and enhance, the foundational knowledge provided in the free Smaart Operator Fundamentals Online webinars. Each session will run between 90 minutes and 2 hours. Attendance is limited to a maximum of 8 attendees to enhance direct student-instructor interaction.

Smaart Fundamentals Live Online sessions are conducted via Zoom. Registered attendees will be emailed a session link and password, along with instructions for joining the session, approximately 48 hours prior to the session start time. Please be sure your computer and internet connection meet Zoom’s minimum system requirements and that your webcam and microphone are working prior to joining the session. Refunds will not be issued for missed sessions due to attendee computer problems.

The Zoom sessions are conducted live, and will not be archived or posted for later viewing. Please be sure you are available to attend the sessions in-person prior to registering.

Every class attendee is entitled to a discounted license of either Smaart v8 or Di v2. (For a review of the differences between the two versions, click HERE). You can purchase a license at the time of registration and upon successful processing of your registration and payment, a license code will be emailed to you along with activation instructions.

If you choose not to purchase a license during the registration process, you will be emailed a coupon code upon completion of the class to purchase a discounted license from our online store. Coupons are valid for 90 days after the class.

PREREQUISITES

Course is open to all interested persons. Prior measurement / system alignment experience is not required, but is helpful. This course does assume a working knowledge of professional sound system engineering practices and basic audio fundamentals.
