This is a Level 1 session, hosted by Rational Acoustics and taught by Jamie Anderson.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Smaart has two basic operational modes: Real-Time and IR (Impulse Response). This session focuses on the IR mode, its newest interface, and its measurement and analysis capabilities.

The session will include an IR Mode overview touring the IR Mode interface of Smaart v8.5. Additional topics will include guidance on making IR measurements and how to improve those measurements, tools for analyzing time-domain data/IR measurements, and implementing IR measurements for room analysis.

ABOUT SMAART ONLINE LAB SESSIONS

Smaart Online Lab Sessions are in-depth presentations on select topics building upon the foundation established from the Smaart Operator Fundamentals course content. These sessions include demonstrations and in-depth discussions on the chosen topic. Each session will run between 90 minutes and 2 hours. Attendance is limited to a maximum of 8 attendees to enhance direct student-instructor interaction.

Smaart Online Lab Sessions are conducted via Zoom. Registered attendees will be emailed a session link and password, along with instructions for joining the session, approximately 48 hours prior to the session start time. Please be sure your computer and internet connection meet Zoom’s minimum system requirements and that your webcam and microphone are working prior to joining the session. Refunds will not be issued for missed sessions due to attendee computer problems.

Smaart Online Lab Sessions are conducted live, and the sessions will not be archived for later viewing. Please be sure you are available to attend the session in-person prior to registering.

PREREQUISITES

Course is open to all interested persons. Prior measurement / system alignment experience is not required, but is helpful. This course does assume a working knowledge of professional sound system engineering practices and basic audio fundamentals. If you have any questions concerning course prerequisites, please do not hesitate to contact Rational Acoustics prior to registration.
